Photo Mode - The true next gen feature

Last year Microsoft and Sony were both shouting loudly about the Next Gen features of the new shiny consoles. Power of the cloud, built in video capture, Instant game resume (still waiting Sony) and many more were all given as reasons to jump aboard the next gen train.

Now almost a year later, I have found the true Next Gen feature that should be included in more titles rolling out to the new generation of home consoles. This feature is the simple Photo Mode. For years now I have looked at sites like Dead End Thrills and marveled at the creativity of the screenshots if you knew how to manipulate the game engine to your whim. I have always wanted to be able to do this simply within my little console based world. Now I can and the results are incredible.

The Last of Us - Multiplayer Impressions

Whilst the gaming world is enamored with the incredible single player experience. I have found myself drawn to the multi-player game, Factions. I don't really indulge in multi-player sides of games these day, so for me to find myself choosing to play Factions over finishing the single player is quite a big thing for me. The reason for this is simple. Naughty Dog have taken a tried and tested formula and wrapped it up in some nice new wrapping paper, that expands on the world of The Last of Us.

Its Awesome Week!

Every so often. the forces that control the cosmos combine their powers and create a week of such pure unfiltered Awesomeness that people may not be able to handle the power of Awesome.

In a week that started with E3 and Microsoft and Sony going head to head for the title of best Next Generation console. E3 showcased many instances of Awesome in its purest form, reaching dangerous levels during Sony's big PS4 conference, which lead to a small outbreak of uncontrollable whooping and cheering and several people needed treatment afterwards. Other Awesome reports came from the first gameplay demo of Destiny, Bungie's first game away from the Halo universe. Think MMO Halo with a ten year plan.

Little Gamer Update - Overload!

We just got back from a glorious five day break at Disneyland Paris. I say break and boy do I mean it. I am broken, the Little Gamers are coming down from a serious Disney High and since we got back on Friday night, we haven't moved from the house until today. I stupidly took the Laptop with me, thinking that I would be able to get some work done on the website in the evenings. Wrong! I was barely able to play the Vita long enough to get anywhere in my slowest ever playthrough of Persona 4 Golden.
