Destiny: The Taken King - Lost to Light and Regicide

We are nearing the end of The Taken Kings Story missions and we start this part with a trip to the moon to collect part of Crota's soul from the crystal destroyed in The Dark Below questline. All seems to be going well, a little too well. Bungie throw in a new twist to the end of the misison that shows that they are prepared to turn Destiny tried and tested formula on its head in order to make a memorable mission.
For the final part, I have become ascendant and its time to enter the rupture and have word with Oryx. Let's see if we can sort this out peacefully without resorting to a massive battle and tonnes of gunfire and explosions... Probably not!
Spoilers - I won! Now once again I am at the end game of another Destiny expansion, but this time its different. I have been bombarded with new questlines, strikes and then there is the Dread Patrol. Oryx's dreadnaught has opened up as a new patrol area and is full of secrets to be unlocked. Destiny seems to have finally cottoned on to the content problem and is a much better game for it.

GTA V Update - Rockstar Editor on Consoles!

In all the excitement last week of The Taken King. I almost forgot that Rockstar released the latest GTA V update. The new update added Freemode events to GTA Online. These freemode events are activities you can just jump straight into with out having to enter tedious lobbies or matchmaking. I have not tried these out yet. This is because I have been to engrossed in the other edition to PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA V, The Rockstar Editor.

Destiny: The Taken King - Cayde's Stah and Oryx's Dreadnaught

Continuing with my playthrough of the new Destiny expansion, The Taken King and its on to the next mission. Hunter Vanguard, Cayde needs me to get the stealh crive he hid in the Cosmorome. The only snag its a the top of huge space rocket and the Fallen and the Taken are after it as well. Sounds like an average day in Destiny then.
Once again, Cayde's Stash is a brilliant example of bungie getting back to the epicness of Halo. This mission takes to the higest point you can get in the Cosmodrome, and fight all the way up to. There is Fallen and Taken to contend with and a boss battle at the top. Brilliant mission!
So now I have a stealth ship, what better time to sneak aboard Oryx's command ship The Dreadnaught. What could possibly go wrong?
Ok so this actually two missions, but they are so good I could not stop playing. The first mission sees the plan to infiltrate Oryx's Dreadnaught go spectactuarly wrong. This leaves to explore this massive warship full of Taken. It doesn't take long before you discover a Cabal ship crashed into the side of the Dreadnaught. Cabal soliders are fighting off the Taken as a last ditch effort avenge the attack on their base in Phobos. The good news they brought a wartank with them and you need to stop it before you can enter their ship.
The next mission sees you weaken the cabal forces, so that you enter their ship and see what intel they have on the massive Dreadnaught and if they know where Oryx is. Once again Bungie have thrown in a large does of Halo into this mission which starts off with you in the middle of a large scale firefight between two factions both of which wnat you dead more than each other.
The Taken king is shaping up to be the best content for Destiny so far... Stay tuned for more gameplay!

Destiny: The Taken King - New Gameplay

After an unexpected 18GB patch download, that PSN handled pretty well for a change. It was time at about 22:00 last night to get stuck into the new Destiny expansion. I have mentioned in my last post about the many changes brought in for year two. The major change for The Taken King expansions is something that was missing from year one. That feature is storytelling!
Destiny: The Taken King Out Today!

Destiny... Its been quite a first year. After getting hooked to the Alpha and subsequent Beta, I was desperate to get mu hands on the full experience on 9th September last year. It didn't let me down and Destiny became my game of choice for almost 6 months, which is incredible for a gamer like me. I went through the main story, then hit level 20. I even persevered with the Light system and managed to grind my way to high enough level to try out the Vault of Glass. I got halfway through with the fireteam I was with first time and it took another couple of months to be able to find the time to retry it.
I bought the expansion pass for both The Dark Below and House of Wolves. I eagerly waited for the content that the first expansion was going to bring. Then came the day it came out and I finished it in a hour and a half. This was the moment where I knew Destiny and I had a problem.

TwolittleGamers Plays... Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

So Metal Gear Solid V is finally here and it goes without saying that it is a pretty special game. It seems fitting that Hideo Kojima's final Metal Gear game is the greatest realisation of the tag "Tactical Espionage Operations". MGS V is hands down the greatest stealth game ever made, it may even be one of the greatest games ever made.
There was concern from the die-hard fans of the Metal Gear series that Kojima's choice to take the series Open-World was a big mistake. In fact it turns out it was the best decision for the Metal Gear franchise. MGS V gives players several huge open-world enviroments to play in and by play, I literally mean it. The freedom given to you to perform missions is entirely down to the player. With hardly any hand holding or large map pointers, objective lists. The Phantom Pain treats you like the character you are meant to be, a legendary soldier. You are given an ultimate objective to achieve and dropped into the world with the weapons you have selected and thats it. How you achieve is them up to you.

Little Gamer Update - Long Overdue

Well hello, Once again it has been awhile since I have written anything for the site. There is good reason for this though, I have been playing games, games, games! 2015 is proving to be one of the best years ever for video games and we have not even got to the manic winter gaming rush. So what has been keeping me playing and not writing. Well if you indulge me let me tell you about the last few months...
