PlayStation Plus - June 2014 update

Big changes happening to the PS Plus service this month. As of 4th June, there will now be two games added to the instant game collection for each platform. That means if you own PS4, PS3 and PS Vita you will now be getting six games every month. along with this change starting in July, the time that these titles are available changes. Titles added to the Instant Game Collection on the first Wednesday of the month, and will be free for that month, until the first Wednesday of the following month. Also, expect the yearly available titles to be taken of the service.
Now that the admin is out of the way, let's look at what we will be getting this Wednesday in the June Update.

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate - PS4 (Cross-buy with Vita)

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate is actually a collection of both Shooter 1 & 2 in one shiny new package with new enhancements and and features for both PS4 and PS Vita. Pixeljunk Shooter is more of a puzzle shooter as  take your submersible  into the depths of a cavernous mine, in order to rescue trapped scientists. Expect plenty of action, boss battles and rock busting puzzles.

Trine 2: The Complete Story - PS4

Trine 2 is a game I have been waiting to come to the Instant Game Collection. One of my favorite games of all time was The Lost Vikings on the Amiga. You controlled three Vikings through a series of levels filled with puzzles. To complete the level you had to use each of the Vikings unique abilities. Trine 2 recreates that experience, whilst turning the gorgeous  to 11. Well worth picking up having a go, you won't be disappointed, but the puzzles make make you frustrated.

NBA 2K14 - PS3

Shame that this isn't the jaw jaw dropping Next Gen version, or that that the upgrade path is now expired. Having said that PS3 version is incredible and easily the best basketball game made to to date. Pro tip: The NBA 2K14 mobile app gives you coins every day that you can use in game.

Lone Survivor: Directors Cut - PS3 (Cross-buy with Vita)

Indie survival horror hit, Lone Survivor came to PS3 and Vita last year and is a fantastic experience. Not frightening as something like Outlast, but very tense and scary. Beautiful 2D graphics and an amazing sound and music make this title one of the horror games of recent times.

Dragons Crown - PS Vita

Do you crave the Hack N Slash action of Golden Axe, but with a more inappropriate art style? Then look no further than Dragons Crown. Its Golden Axe with breasts! Apart from the questionable character design, the game is gorgeous and has plenty of depth to turn this simple hacker into a fully fledged adventure.

Surge Deluxe - PS Vita
Futurlab are one of those studios that cannot do wrong. Velocity was amazing. Coconut Dodge was addictive and Velocity 2x is one of most anticipated games of 2014. In the meanwhile though you can get to grips with Surge Deluxe, which is not your average tile based puzzler. Played on its side, you need to connect the same coloured tile to clear them away from the valves on both sides of the screen, This allows you to release the building pressure from the generators. The more tiles you can connect in a single stroke the more points you earn. Give it a go, but be warned you may not put it down for awhile.

Another amazing month for PS Plus subscribers and there is something there for everyone.
