Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - First Gameplay Trailer

With Batman: Arkham Origins stealing all the limelight recently, its easy to forget that there are two Batman games coming out this year. The other game is Batman: Arkham Origins - Blackgate. Blackgate is the first title in the Arkham series to appear on handheld systems, namely the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS (and 2DS I presume now?). Set after the events of the main Arkham Origins game, Blackgate is a 2.5D metroidvania take on the Arkham series.
After a prison uprising at Gotham's Blackgate Prison, Batman sets off to investigate who is behind it. He quickly learns that there is more to this than just a simple prison riot. Batman will also meet Catwoman and others for the first time, and begin to forge a relationship with a young Captain Gordon. The story is played out in a series of comic book style animated panels and adds a new layer of style to the Arkham games.
The only thing that has been missing since the annoucement of the game back in May, was a gameplay trailer. Well, today is your lucky day, as here is the very first gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.
The game is being developed by Armature Studios, who are made up of members from Retro Studio (makers of the Metroid Prime trilogy). Their only previous work has been the PS Vita version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which was an excellent treatment of the much loved series. So, they are good team to handle this much loved character and game franchise.
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will release on PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS worldwide on Oct. 25, 2013, alongside Batman; Arkham Origins on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC
