Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - World Premier Trailer

Ubisoft have a secret and they haven't been able to keep it. Information started leaking across the Internet last week about Assassin's Creed IV. Leaks suggested that the game was going to have a pirate setting and would feature Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway and Grandfather to Connor from Assassin's Creed III.

Now the World Premier trailer has slipped out onto Youtube over the weekend. Featuring Blackbeard (yes, that Blackbeard!) and a very tooled up Edward Kenway, boarding ships, storming ports, hunting treasure and other pirate type shenanigans. Ubisoft have revealed more information now, and it looks like Black Flag could be a more ambitious project than Assassins Creed III. With apparently 8 studios helping to develop the game, it is said to have over 50 locations, set in an open world Caribbean, filled with cities, jungles and islands. Also, Black Flag expands on the Naval battles, that were the high point of the previous game.

All in all, it looks like a promising start for what I believe to still be the most promising franchise of this generation.

[Update} Want to know more about Edward Kenway? Then look no further than the new video, Edward Kenway, a Pirate trained by Assassins below.
