Brand new to the PlayStation Store today is the long awaited release of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD on the Vita. Strangers Wrath was one of critically acclaimed First Person Shooters on the original Xbox, behind Halo and Half-Life 2. Arriving late in the Xbox's life, this platform exclusive failed to find an audience and sales were poor. This may of been down to a poor marketing campaign by EA.
Anyway, that is good for us as now we can enjoy this new HD remaster on the go. Rather than just running at a higher resolution, like some HD remasters. Just Add Water have gone the whole hog. New textures, high resolution character models, new lighting effects and normal mapping and the addition of touch screen features as well.
The game follows the Stranger and his journey to save enough moolah for a life saving operation, by rounding up Oddworlds most dangerous bandits and criminals. Played as both a first and third person game and some of the craziest weapons in history. Get ready for the greatest adventure yet in the wonderful Oddworld.
