Dead or Alive 5 + - Out this week on PS Vita

March is a great month for Vita owners who love Team Ninja (like me!). March sees the release of not one but two Team Ninja games on the Vita. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus came out at the beginning of the month and is a fantastic version of my personal favortite Ninja Gaiden title.
This Friday sees the latest instalment of the Dead or Alive series get the Vita treatment. Dead or Alive 5+ sees the same home console version shrunk down to a 5inch screen. Of course there are new features exclusive to the Vita. Take a look at some of these new features:
Touch Fight
Attack your opponents with simple taps and swipes of the touchscreen! Touch Fights are shown in 1st-person perspective, putting you right in the middle of the action for the most intuitive DOA fighting experience yet. Hold your PlayStation®Vita horizontally for a full view of the stage, or vertically to enjoy a close-up view of the characters. Heres hoping its a lot less pervy than it sounds.
Tutorial Mode
This new DOA5+ mode makes it easy for anyone to master key moves and strategies by practicing them in real fight situations! Each point covered consists of two parts: the lesson and the mission. In the lesson, you learn the new move or strategy, and practice it against an opponent who reacts with a limited set of moves. In the mission portion, it's time to put what you've learned to the test! The mission is cleared when you've shown you can successfully use the move or strategy a certain number of times in a real fight. Get a solid grounding in the basics, and hone the skills needed to come out on top in any fight situation!
Customise Music
In DOA5 for PS3, background music was set based on the stage. Now in DOA5+, you can choose music for each character. New DOA5 characters Rig and Mila have had their own music added, too! Choose your favorite background music and set the tone for each fight!
Story mode Movie viewer
You can now view scenes that you've uncovered in Story mode in the Movie Theater.
Choose your favorite scene from the menu and rewatch as many times as you like!
Cross Play
Use all the characters that appeared in the PS3 version. Both the PS3 and PS Vita versions run at 60 fps, so you can have the same serious tests of skill against PS3 players.
Cross Goods
You can use the costumes you downloaded on the PS3, so you can use your favorite costume anywhere! You can also use costumes that you download through your PS Vita on your PS3 too!
Cross Save
Share costume data that you unlocked as you cleared each mode on the PS3, so you don't have to start from scratch on the PS Vita.
Having spent a great deal of time playing Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the 3DS, I am really looking forward to another helping of portable DOA, because this one is shaping up to be the Vita's best fighting game yet!

I bet this game is great. I don't have a Vita but I've loved every DoA game since the franchise started.
