So it appears that if you are releasing a sequel to hugely successful game based on The Dark Knight it is now the law to make the game open world. This summer, the whole family will have a chance to explore Gotham City like never before with the release of LEGO Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes. Now you can see your favorite heroes explore this massive open world in a new trailer and screenshots released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.Watch as Batman and his friends drive, climb and fly their way through Gotham City in an effort to stop some of the most notorious villains from destroying the city.
This looks like it will be a huge game on all formats. An open Gotham City filled with quests challenges and gadgets, vehicles and new heroes to play as well. This could be the best licensed Lego game so far and could certainly be up there with the Arkham City in terms of gameplay. Personally, I cannot wait to get my hands on the PS Vita version and get a huge dose of portable Batman. It is the only game I want to be playing whilst queueing to see The Dark Knight Rises.
Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes launches this summer on all major gaming systems.
